How to tell
- About 1/2 inch long, tan with two dark stripes behind the head.
- Seen near the sink, stove, dishwasher or fridge.
- Pepper-like specks in cabinet corners.
Do this now
- Wipe counters and sweep crumbs every night.
- Fix dripping taps; roaches need water.
- Take trash out at night and keep the lid closed.
Avoid
- Don't set off bug bombs; they scatter roaches into the walls.
- Don't mix sprays with gel baits; sprays repel roaches from the bait.
When to call a proCall as soon as you see one in daylight or several at night. German roaches are hard to clear without a pro.
